What cookies are

The legal basis on which we use cookies

Under Section 25 (1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), storing information on your device and accessing it generally requires your consent. Cookies that are strictly necessary in order to provide a service you have expressly requested are exempt – Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG applies to those, and no consent is required.

Where personal data is processed subsequently, we base this on Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent) or on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, insofar as we have a legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of this website. Giving, changing or withdrawing consent

When you first visit this website we ask for your consent via a banner. You can change or fully withdraw your choice at any time: the button below reopens the consent dialogue, where you can adjust the categories and save your selection.

Withdrawal takes effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected. We store your decision for 365 days, after which we ask again. Because the decision itself is recorded in a cookie, we have to ask again if you delete your browser’s cookies or use a different device.

The following overview is generated automatically from the configuration of our consent tool. The temporary Leadinfo service is described separately below because its local- and session-storage entries, which are created only after consent, are not always detected by the automated scan.

Leadinfo (Marketing)

Leadinfo is loaded only after you consent to the “Marketing” category. To distinguish visits and sessions, the service may store the identifiers _li_id.*, _li_ses.*, and snowplowOutQueue_* in local browser storage. Known Leadinfo identifiers are removed if consent is absent or withdrawn. After marketing consent, visual session replay is active during the limited trial; it records page states, clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, and time spent, but no camera or audio.
